Taha Academy
Taha Academy was formed in 2019 to cater for the growing Muslims in Rainham and establish a structured weekend and weekday Islamic School, specialising in providing Islamic education to a high standards with our unique an extensive curriculum. Through the success of the Islamic School in Rainham and the high demand of other services within the local and surrounding area, in April 2024 we decided to officially form the Taha Academy Group to cater for all the demand under one organisation.
Message from Founder and CEO
Ustadh Mijanul Islam, is an Imam, speaker, professional Quran reciter & Presenter who specialises in Islamic Education, Qira’ah & Tajweed. He is born and bred in the UK, alongside with completing all his Islamic Studies in the UK under prominent scholars. Ustadh Mijanul Islam, memorised the entire Quran at the age of 13 then further went on to study Islamic Sciences and completed his Alimiyyah.
He has gained Ijazah (certificates) in many Islamic Sciences. For example: Quran, Tajweed, Hadith, Fiqh, Tasfir etc. Ustadh, at a young age took part in many Quran Competitions. Both locally and nationally, of which he took part in the National Quran Competition (Q factor) successfully securing a Runner up positions.

What is Taha Academy Schools?
Taha Academy Schools was established 2019 to provide a service and cater for growing Muslims in Rainham, Essex. We provide classes on the weekend and weekday. Alhamdulliah due to the success of the Rainham Branch we now have schools across London and Essex. This will allow the other communities with the UK to benefit from our structured and unique curriculum. We aim to provide Islamic education to a very high standard with state of the art and modern facilities, coupled with our high trained and professional teachers.

The higher education was formed with vision that once our student completes the programme at the school, they will continue their Islamic Studies to stay connect with the Deen of Allah swt. At the same time, an opportunity for parents of the Schools to engage in Islamic studies.

What is Taha Academy Foundation?
The Foundation is a registered charity in the UK, it was setup with the mission to serve our brothers and sisters across the globe via various projects. This includes, humanitarian aid, madrasa and mosque setup and more. Alhamdulliah we commenced our very first project in January 2025 by setting up our very own Masjid, in the heart of Stratford.

Taha Academy Events focuses on organising various Islamic events, both locally and nationally. Over the years we have organised many events such as: Community Fundays, Iftaars, Eid in the Park, Shuyookh Tours and more. We aim to provide unique and engaging events which will benefit both the local communities and wider society.
