Ustadh Mijanul Islam, is an Imam, speaker, professional Quran reciter & Presenter who specialises in Islamic Education, Qira’ah & Tajweed. He is born and bred in the UK, alongside with completing all his Islamic Studies in the UK under prominent scholars. Ustadh Mijanul Islam, memorised the entire Quran at the age of 13 then further went on to study Islamic Sciences and completed his Alimiyyah.
He has gained Ijazah (certificates) in many Islamic Sciences. For example: Quran, Tajweed, Hadith, Fiqh, Tasfir etc. Ustadh, at a young age took part in many Quran Competitions. Both locally and nationally, of which he took part in the National Quran Competition (Q factor) successfully securing a Runner up positions.

Asalamu Alaykum,
I would like to welcome you all to Taha Academy, an organisation which specialises in Islamic Education and aim to instil the love of the Deen within our students from the age of 4. Before the inception of Taha Academy In 2019 I have always had the worry about the next generations connection to Islam At the same time, living in an area where there is no presence of a mosque nor any facilities for children’s Islamic education and Islamic services coupled with my concern for the youth, was the driving force to establish an Islamic school in Rainham and provide quality Islamic education to the next generation.
At Taha Academy not only do we provide the traditional Islamic education, but we also ensure our students feel confident about their Islamic identity and are fully aware on how to navigate through life with accordance to the Quran and Sunnah. We also aim to provide extra services for the local community and surrounding areas, this is to ensure that everyone can benefit from our organisation. This was the light bulb idea to officially form the Taha Academy Group in April 2024.
We firmly believe in our ethos and always strive to be inline with our slogan “building bridges between the servant and the lord which also enables us to constantly renew our intention for the sake of Allah swt, regardless of ones background, ethnicity or culture we should always strive to better ourself and get closer to Allah swt. Our aim at Taha Academy is to spread is to spread the message of Islam far and wide.
I would also like to take the opportunity to thank everyone who have supported the school and I ask you all to continue to make dua for the school, and a special appreciation to my parents for their continuous support and effort.
